For IFS Therapists & Practitioners

IFS tools your clients can use between sessions.

A structured parts-mapping questionnaire your client fills in before you meet, and a bounded AI companion for practising unblending when you aren't there. Neither is therapy and neither diagnoses anyone. Both are built to hand the work back to the room with you.

Tool 1: Client Onboarding

The IFS System Assessment

A 55-question intake tool designed to establish a baseline map of a client's primary Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles before their first deep session with you.

Accelerated Mapping

A structured outline of how the client describes their own system, in their own words, to read before you meet. It is their self-report, not an assessment of them and not a treatment plan.

Client Education

The generated report teaches the client the language of IFS (parts, unblending, Self) before they even enter your office.

Tool 2: Between Sessions

The Voice-Powered Companion

Many clients struggle to maintain Self-energy between weekly sessions. The Companion holds a bounded space for practising unblending. Its behaviour was written by studying 22 annotated recordings of publicly available IFS demonstration sessions, across seven practitioners including Richard Schwartz. It is a carefully written system prompt, not a model trained on clinical data, and we think you should know the difference before recommending it.

Strict Guardrails

The AI is designed to gently de-escalate blended parts and guide the client toward Self, refusing to do "deep trauma surgery" without a therapist.

Consistent Tracking

Clients can log their parts in their "Inner World" profile and track what comes up between sessions to discuss with you later.

Eyes-Closed Operation

Voice interface allows clients to stay connected to somatic experiences rather than intellectualizing over a keyboard.

Practitioner FAQ

Is this designed to replace IFS therapists?

No. Deep trauma work, especially dealing with burdened Exiles, requires the relational safety of a human nervous system. TraitPath is designed for system mapping, daily check-ins, unblending practice, and supporting Managers and Firefighters between sessions.

How does the Companion handle extreme parts or crisis?

The Companion is system-prompted with strict safety guardrails. If a client exhibits signs of deep blending with a highly reactive Firefighter or a suicidal part, the AI explicitly shifts away from exploration, focuses on immediate grounding, and directs the user to professional help.

Is client data private?

Yes. All conversations are private to the user. We do not sell data or use conversation transcripts to train generalized AI models. The client owns their parts map and their history.

How do I share this with my clients?

You can simply send them the link to the main IFS Discovery page. The platform is entirely self-serve. They can take the assessment or start using the Companion immediately.

Try the tools yourself.

The best way to know if TraitPath is right for your clients is to test it on your own system.

Using these with clients?

We don't pay for referrals, and we don't want to. Most practitioners are barred from accepting them, and your client's trust in you is worth more than any commission we could offer.

What would help is hearing what you'd actually use. Printable client handouts, session-prep material, something we haven't thought of. Tell us and we'll build the useful one.
